~Securities Exchange Commission~ At it again!!!...

Looks like our Federal Government workers at the SEC are at it once again this time surfing the net for porn instead of doing their jobs as reported in the Washington Post...
.
A few years back there was a troll by the name "Dignan" that would visit Rightside from time to time and comment on posts and issues that he obvious did not agree with this writers view or other people who commented to the posts. Unfortunately it usually resulted in a cheap or personal attack from Dignan when he, she, or "it" did not get it's way...
.
Interesting thing was it turned out Dignan was doing most of his surfing and extensive visits to Rightside while "It" was working at the Securities Exchange Commission and using the SEC server. Post of this can be found here...
.
Now it turns out over at the SEC the gang is spending a considerable amount of taxpayer time surfing the net for PORN instead of doing their job. And we are not talking the guys down in the cubicles but some of the big guys with salaries ranging from $99,000 to $222,418 a year. Pretty good money for a bunch of wingnuts while the rest of us is out there trying to make it in the real world...

Shad Planking 2010....

Photos and info from the 62nd Shad Planking in Wakefield Virginia that is held each year by the Wakefield Ruritan Club...
.
Overcast with some rain but cleared up towards the end when the speeches were being made and the Shad was being served.
.
"Off year" event with a smaller crowd then last year when it was the big run towards the Virginia Governor's race, but a very beneficial environment to talk issues and facts regarding Virginia...
.

The Virginia Energy Independence Alliance has been a regular at the Shad Planking and maintains a impressive website regarding their efforts. I have had the opportunity to talk with this staff several times during the "Shad Plankings" and found them to be very well organized and informative...

Guest speaker for the event was George Allen who has attended past Shad Plankings as a Candidate, the Governor of Virginia, and as Senator for the State of Virginia.
.
During his speech he also mentioned the importance of energy sources in Virginia and how we need to develop them to address the increasing demand for energy. He is also working with the American Energy Freedom Center on these issues...
.

The "Drill Here, Drill Now" booth did well and we were able to set up on the hill near familiar friends made over the years. I spent most of the day at the booth talking with many Virginia Citizens regarding the Offshore Drilling issue as well as other energy issues and sources available to Virginia and other east coast states...
.
The most common question was why would we have to drill 50 miles offshore for Oil and Natural Gas and why it was not possible to drill closer to the shore. Fortunately I had several informative handouts from API regarding these issues and was able to put actual facts and information into the hands of the people interested. Another great source of information on the multiple sources of energy available to Virginia can be found at the Energy Tomorrow website...
.
The fact is that the majority of the Oil & Natural Gas located off the Virginia and east coast is found further off the coast as compared to the west coast where 90%+ is found within the first 50 miles. Many people did not know this and found the information provided in these handouts very helpful and took several copies to review and pass onto friends...

Candidate Chuck Smith for Congress 2010

America needs leaders who lead, understanding that solutions to the American experience is not on the flip side of a resume. To exemplify principles, not promises, and show that the American Dream is not reachable by "could be" actions wrapped around "would be" words on pristine stairs, but rather by real action, “been... there”, and honor. Leaders find "can do" faith in the alignment of the three words, “We The People”
Chuck Smith

The Virginia Civil Defense League has been a great source of information and support to gun owners in Virginia and maintain a impressive website for people to go to and get facts regarding their 2nd amendment rights....
