Staunton VA 4th of July Parade ~2012~

Nice sunny day for a 4th of July Parade in Staunton VA and had a good turnout even with it being the middle of the week...

Military personnel got standing ovations all along the parade route as well as several people stepping up to shake their hands and show appreciation for their service to our country...

I walked the parade route several times looking for the Democratic Party parade float and did not see anyone marching in support of the party or it's candidates. I also could not find or identify any campaign workers for any of the Democratic party candidates running this November. I eventually found the Staunton\Augusta County Democratic Party table along the parade route with a surprising small amount of campaign literature and support items (ugly Tim Kaine signs). This in stark contrast to the 2008 election cycle where the DNC and Obama sent  considerable amounts of money and support into the Shenandoah Valley...

This also being in stark contrast to the representation provided by the Shenandoah Valley Tea Party who had a impressive showing by citizens who organized themselves and supported themselves along with help from other citizens in the valley.

General George Washington and the Constitution ~J.R. Manship~

Came along this video of J.R. Manship who portrays General George Washington and I have had the opportunity to meet and speak with him several times while at conservative events. Here he is interviewed by Dean Welty and Suzanne Curran who are also strong conservatives here in the Shenandoah Valley... Good stuff...

Virginia Tech Hokie Ice Hockey...

Virginia Tech Ice Hockey vs. Monmouth College with Delegate Ben Cline, Congressman Bob Goodlatte, Justin & Pete Larkin, and Chris Green at the Roanoke Civic Center...

VA Tech defense was right on with the offense dominating the other end of the ice most of the game. Good game with lots of action even with the score of 9 to 2...

Buena Vista Labor Day Parade ~2010~

The VMI Bagpipes started off the 2010 Buena Vista Labor Day Parade....

The best place to learn the truth of the First Navy Flag, the Evergreen Tree of Liberty Flag, the Washington Cruisers Flag with the motto "Appeal To Heaven" from John Locke that is a "Call to War".
The First Navy Flag is NOT the fictional flag of the "Snake Over Stripes"
"Retreating Rattler" with its plaintive plea (Please) "Don't Tread On Me" created from legends and lies,
and sadly, on United States Navy ships currently flies.

Augusta Count Fair ~2010~

Today was the kick-off day for the Augusta County Fair 2010 with a pretty good crowd for opening day and the good weather was a positive for attendance numbers...

Delegate Ben Cline who represents the 24th district stopped by the Augusta Republican booth...

The Augusta County Republicans were also on hand representing th "Grand~Old~Party"
and representing Congressmen Bob Goodlatte in his re-election campaign...

Congressmen Bob Goodlatte did stop by the parade line-up area for a short time but had to leave to get to the Bridgewater parade that he already committed to walk in. The Congressman's wife, Maryellen Goodlatte did elect to walk the Draft parade to represent the Congressmen...
