Would it include former Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean's description of the contest between Democrats and Republicans as "a struggle between good and evil -- and we're the good"?
Would it include Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's characterization of then-President George W. Bush as "a loser and a liar"?
Would it include Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow's denunciation of President Bush as "dangerously incompetent"?

Would it include then-Rep. Diane Watson, D-Calif., who attacked a black political opponent: "He's married to a white woman. He wants to be white. He wants a colorless society. He has no ethnic pride. He doesn't want to be black. I said that"?
Would it include the way then-President Bill Clinton, according to aide Dick Morris, described his 1996 Republican opponent: "Bob Dole is not a nice man. Bob Dole is evil. The things he wants to do to children are evil. The things he wants to do to poor people and old people and sick people are evil. Let's get that straight"?
Would it include the unhinged MSNBC host Ed Schultz, who, days before the Tucson shooting, said: "This is an ideological war. ... I will fight these bastards every night at 6 o'clock because I know what they're up against. I know what they want to do. They want to take down American workers. ... They want to destroy the American dream, concentrate the wealth to the top and control minorities"?
Today's Washington Times has an interesting article about how the two candidates running for Virginia Governor are turning to "Twitter" to get their message out to their followers. It also explains how Creigh Deeds the Democratic party candidate uses his air-time to update his supporters on which Springsteen song he is listening to: " "I pretty much listen to music all the time," he said, so his updates often read like the contents of his iPod. "Been on a Springsteen binge last 24 hours."
Maybe this is why the Republican candidate Bob McDonnell has an impressive lead already in those following him on Twitter and other media avenues: "By the numbers, Mr. McDonnell's new-media campaign is out in front of the Deeds campaign. On Wednesday, Mr. Deeds had 2,170 followers on Twitter, while Mr. McDonnell had 4,046 followers."
"Facebook numbers were in Mr. McDonnell's favor, too. Mr. Deeds had 8,867, and Mr. McDonnell had 14,174 supporters, people who have signed on to the page where they can read updates and post thoughts."
Maybe its the contents of the messages being sent that is the reason why there is such a great discrepancy in numbers of followers between the candidates? With all that is going on in Washington with the new administration, the economy, and whatever $ million+ deficit we face her in Virginia the people are looking for a candidate with solutions instead of "Playlists"...
Now being a "Jersey Boy" myself for most of my early years, I too appreciate the work of Bruce Springsteen and have seen him several times. Like Deeds I favor the early stuff that Springsteen wrote and songs describing places that I know personally are all the better. The first Springsteen concert that I saw was in the old Spectrum arena in Philliy and Springsteen spoke about growing up in Freehold and hanging out in the park next to the old cannon which many of us know from being there also. Springsteen also did some great work in his early years when he went to cities to perform and would often donate to the local Food bank operations. This is when he did not have the millions he does now for back then I remember him coming into the gas station I worked at during college and he was always in a beat up Chevy and usually headed back to the Jersey shore after playing in Philadelphia or the likes. He was a good guy and never looked for attention but was glad to talk with those who recognized him... With all of those who hit it big and move to the "Left coast", Springsteen too has changed. I don't see the same man as I saw before when working the gas station in Hightstown NJ when I now seeing him preaching politics during his concerts and the songs he writes now. Not like the early stuff Creigh, Springsteen tickets for the upcoming Hartford CT concert starts at $65 and goes all the way up to $860+ a piece...
The article also states that Deeds has used the "Tweet" option for other than playlist updates and in fact: "In a more serious Tweet on June 1, he wrote, "my heart goes out to all the workers - and their families - of the GM Spotsylvania County plant which will close it doors."
This reminds me of the same concert above where Springsteen also spoke about the closing of the Rug Mill in Freehold and the many people that he knew who got laid off and had no work to support their families. Many times I remember seeing the closed down rug mill and the emptiness to the local economy because that and other businesses had left town. Its good to "Tweet" your sadness in the loss of a business but the people are looking for a Governor with solutions to problems like this instead of one with a "Top 40" songlist...

The Freehold mill, which was the heart of the town for 60 years, closed in 1964. Bruce Springsteen mourned the closing of the mill in his hit song “My Hometown”; his father Douglas had worked there. In fact a local Virginia blogger writes about how it is reported that our present Governor of Virginia, Tim Kaine (D) also happens to be the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee at the same time and with that spends a third of his time dealing with DNC problems instead of the issues regarding Virginia. Does that mean the Democratic Governor of Virginia only takes a 2/3 paycheck from the citizens of Virginia that he represents? And since he is a "Lame-Duck" Governor due to term limits, where is his priorities and is this what the citizens of Virginia deserve?

You may have paid for it. You probably have your name on it. It's on your property. You have to maintain it. And you have to replace it when it fails but don't get to posessive for the Government controls what can and can not go into it...

Take a minute and half to watch the above video of three individuals claiming to be "security" at a polling place in Philadelphia during the last presidential election. All three of these individuals were charged with VOTER INTIMIDATION by career Dept of Justice workers but those charges have now been dropped by the new political wing of the Dept headed by Attorney General Eric Holder who was appointed by Obama...
IBD reports that the charges were dropped and the individual with the nightstick in the above video cant bring his weapons to the polling places anymore!!!
"Two had their lawsuit dismissed with no penalty imposed, while the third man was banned from taking a weapon to a polling place in the future. Records indicate that the three men had refused to appear in court."
. During the last four election days at the Stuarts Draft polling place I have had the same older gentleman challenge the placement of campaign signs outside of the polling place entrance door. The first year he was very adamant about the placement of the signs and the "Republican" volunteers outside of the "No Campaigning" zone but did not question placement of the single "Democratic" volunteer or her signs. I took the opportunity to show this older gentleman the above sign positioned by the polling workers and that none of the campaign signs or volunteers were anywhere within this restricted zone...
It happens every election day since and I still instruct the older gentleman to read the sign...
Yesterday it was reported that the Voter Intimidation case regarding the incident that happened during the 2008 Presidential election in Philadelphia showing members of the Black Panthers outside of a polling place, one brandishing a night stick and "violated the 1965 Voting Rights Act by scaring would-be voters with the weapon, racial slurs and military-style uniforms" has now been dismissed.
"Justice Department political appointees overruled career lawyers and ended a civil complaint accusing three members of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense of wielding a nightstick and intimidating voters at a Philadelphia polling place last Election Day, according to documents and interviews."
The Washington Times ask a interesting question in: What if there were KU Klux Klan members and they stood outside of polling places in military uniforms, with nightsticks, confronting voters arriving to the polling place?...

Rather conveniently, the Obama administration has asked that the cases against Mr. Jackson, two other defendants and the party be dropped."

Our administration always faced its share of criticism, and from some quarters it was always intense. That was especially so in the later years of our term, when the dangers were as serious as ever, but the sense of general alarm after September 11th, 2001 was a fading memory. Part of our responsibility, as we saw it, was not to forget the terrible harm that had been done to America ... and not to let 9/11 become the prelude to something much bigger and far worse.
That attack itself was, of course, the most devastating strike in a series of terrorist plots carried out against Americans at home and abroad. In 1993, terrorists bombed the World Trade Center, hoping to bring down the towers with a blast from below. The attacks continued in 1995, with the bombing of U.S. facilities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; the killing of servicemen at Khobar Towers in 1996; the attack on our embassies in East Africa in 1998; the murder of American sailors on the USS Cole in 2000; and then the hijackings of 9/11, and all the grief and loss we suffered on that day.
To make certain our nation country never again faced such a day of horror, we developed a comprehensive strategy, beginning with far greater homeland security to make the United States a harder target. But since wars cannot be won on the defensive, we moved decisively against the terrorists in their hideouts and sanctuaries, and committed to using every asset to take down their networks. We decided, as well, to confront the regimes that sponsored terrorists, and to go after those who provide sanctuary, funding, and weapons to enemies of the United States. We turned special attention to regimes that had the capacity to build weapons of mass destruction, and might transfer such weapons to terrorists.
It is a fact that only detainees of the highest intelligence value were ever subjected to enhanced interrogation. You've heard endlessly about waterboarding. It happened to three terrorists. One of them was Khalid Sheikh Muhammed - the mastermind of 9/11, who has also boasted about beheading Daniel Pearl.
Even before the interrogation program began, and throughout its operation, it was closely reviewed to ensure that every method used was in full compliance with the Constitution, statutes, and treaty obligations. On numerous occasions, leading members of Congress, including the current speaker of the House, were briefed on the program and on the methods.
To put things in perspective, suppose that on the evening of 9/11, President Bush and I had promised that for as long as we held office - which was to be another 2,689 days - there would never be another terrorist attack inside this country. Talk about hubris - it would have seemed a rash and irresponsible thing to say. People would have doubted that we even understood the enormity of what had just happened. Everyone had a very bad feeling about all of this, and felt certain that the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and Shanksville were only the beginning of the violence.
For all that we've lost in this conflict, the United States has never lost its moral bearings. And when the moral reckoning turns to the men known as high-value terrorists, I can assure you they were neither innocent nor victims. As for those who asked them questions and got answers: they did the right thing, they made our country safer, and a lot of Americans are alive today because of them.

Jeff Frederick was elected by the “Grassroots” of the party last year and it appears he was removed by the “Elite” of the party this year. Locally we requested numerous times that our State Central Representative for the 6th district, Lynn Mitchell to appear in front of the grassroots and local GOP committees to provide information and facts regarding the vote to remove Frederick from office. These requests were ignored and denied and our “representative” voted to remove Frederick from office without our consideration…
It has also been reported that one person who was carrying a “Pro-Frederick” vote was denied the opportunity to vote on a technicality issue that has never applied in the past. Important for the removal of the chairman was decided by one vote. In fact eight other proxy votes were allowed during this meeting…
President Obama issued a stern warning to North Korea today, saying that it cannot go ahead with the planned launch of a long-range rocket with impunity.
"Should North Korea decide to take this action, we will work with all interested partners in the international community to take appropriate steps to let North Korea know that they cannot threaten the safety and stability of other countries with impunity."
So how does North Korea respond to Obama's "Stern" warning?....
With the increases in employment layoffs being reported each month, there is the continuing reference to lost manufacturing jobs in the United States and the “blame-game” of these jobs going to other countries.
It is true that we have lost manufacturing jobs here in the United States but maybe it is not for the same reasons that were reported by several campaigns during the last series of elections…
