One impressive Rock in Iowa...

This photo of a rock that was painted by a local student was sent to me in a e-mail with the following description. I also did a search and found the video on You~Tube....

Can You Believe a Teenager Did This?

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed.

Billy Currington: "How Country Boys Roll" and FISH....

Just had this video sent up to me by my good friend Captain Mike who runs the Compass Rose light tackle boat out of Key West. Looks like he had some of the "Country Boys" come down to do some fishing in the Florida Keys and they decided to make a video....

.

Captain Mike also maintains a blog on the side with recent catch photos...

Lt. Governor Bill Bolling at Harisonburg GOP Headquarters...

Lt. Governor Bill Bolling stopped by the Harrisonburg GOP Headquarters today to speak with volunteers and other supporters coming into the last full month before the election. He was greeted by many volunteers who came early to see the Lt. Governor before they started phone banking and calling area citizens to support the GOP ticket in November...
.
The Lt. Governor spoke about the positive and productive tact that the GOP team has maintained all through the campaign and how the Citizens of Virginia have responded to the positive message with realistic solutions...
.
From what I have seen on the blogs tonight they are reporting the new polling numbers coming out that have Bob McDonnell extending his lead once again...
.

Several media representatives were also there....

The reason why Deeds won't debate...

The reason why Creigh Deeds has refused numerous requests for debates with Bob McDonnell on FoxNews and Chris Wallace is the same reason why President Obama did all of the other media outlets but did not do Chris Wallace...

.

Wallace is going to ask you the HARD questions and not let you "Spin" yourself out of the original question. He comes with the research and facts to back the hard questions up and will be fair in the selection of his questions. I would like to have seen Wallace as McDonnell about the thesis issue and the answer from McDonnell for I am sure McDonnell would have addressed it without hesitation...

.

On the other hand both Deeds and President Obama will not come on FoxNews with Wallace after many requests. With the highest viewer counts over the years it would be a great opportunity for both of these guys to take their message to the people. Wallace is the next Tim Russert is his preperation and asking of hard questions backing them up with facts. Russert was very good and that was evident with his tenure at Meet the Press...

"Democrat" Candidate Greg Marrow thinks our tax money is "FREE" money?...

Democratic Party Candidate Greg Marrow is running for the Delegate seat representing the VA 25th-district and during a debate last night stated that the $125 million dollars from the stimulus package not used for VA unemployment was"Free" money and "was lost to other states"

.

If you watch the video you will hear people in the audience attending the debate call out that this was not free money and "Out of my pocket"... 25 seconds into the video...

.

Please note the look on the Democratic Candidates face, along with the eye-roll and smirk, once the people he hopes to represent in Richmond, correct him on his idea of "Free" money and that money actually coming out of their pockets...

Marrow then goes on to pitch the idea of raising the taxes paid by corporations in Virginia for Virginia has "one of the lowest tax rates, its the fourth lowest in the country, and maybe we need to look at that"...

.

I found this idea by Marrow very interesting for I have heard and read many times how Marrow feels not enough has been done to attract new jobs to the Valley. Maybe Virginia is rated one of the best States for business growth in the country because we have low corporate taxrates? Simple economics shows that corporations will move towards States that have lower State taxes thus allowing the corporations to invest their profits back into companies in better benefits, more jobs, more efficient locations, and yes better profits for the shareholders. Over 50% of the population is invested in the stock market with their 401k and retirement plans...

.

Anybody with simple knowledge of economic policies understands that "CORPORATIONS DO NOT PAY TAXES"!!!...

The consumer, you and me pays the increased taxrate in the price of the product we buy. Increased corporate tax rates result in corporations moving to other States and countries to avoid having their earned profits confiscated by the government. Look at the European countries and their growth rates over the last decade after they finally understood lower taxes increases productivity and incentive to work!!...

.

"Democrat" Candidate Greg Marrow is obviously on the "Stage One" level of the economic plan as described by Thomas Sowell in many of his books. What we need representing us in Richmond is a person that can see past the "Stage One" and onto levels that encourages smart and efficient growth in our economy...

.

Republican Delegate Steve Landes understands this and has done a great job representing us in Richmond. We need to keep him looking out for us as Delegate of the 25th district...
