Just in case you forgot, "Candidate" Terry McAuliffe said he would NOT hold the budget Hostage with the Medicaid Expansion....

Many of us saw this coming a "Media-mile" away but unfortunately the majority of the Virginia voters thought Terry-Mac was the way to go this last election. Now he is just a mirror image of Obama in Wash DC ...

Vance Wilkins looking to bring back winning...

Bob Stuart over at the NewsVirginian has a good piece on the upcoming battle in the 6th district for the chairmanship held by Wendell Walker and being challenged by Vance Wilkins.

The Republican Party of Virginia needs to get back to sending Conservative Republicans to both Richmond and Washington DC and not take for granted that the Shenandoah Valley and most rural areas of Virginia will always vote "R" on election day. I don't see conservative voters falling for the "Well packaged" BS coming from the Democratic Party and their players but I do see the conservative voter staying home in protest as they have in several recent election days...

For too long we saw the candidates and RPV come to the Valley telling us that we must come out to "Tow the line" for the VA-GOP candidate and to cancel out those voters in north Virginia that continues to vote for the Democrat candidates. This worked well for a long time as long as the VA-GOP was winning and the big guys at RPV in Richmond held their positions and all was well with the "Inner circle"...

But now the political environment has changed and that was evident when the nation voted for and elected Obama who had no real world political experience but had a great marketing plan. Even with the failed policies and actions by President Obama the Democratic Party continued with this marketing plan and Virginia now has two Democrat Senators and a Democrat Governor. It has come time to get back to electing and sending conservative Republicans back to State offices and get Virginia & America back on track and working for those who make this country work and not just "Buying Votes with Govt programs" as the Democrats have...

Bob Stuart has two very interesting quotes from Wilkins that really hits the mark...

"We knew six years ago Mark Warner was running for re-election,'' Wilkins said. "We have done nothing to prepare to beat him." He said only now are Republican candidates critical of Warner's voting record.
"We are just getting on him now for voting for Obamacare. We could have torn down that facade of being a moderate Democrat a long time ago,'' he said.
Wilkins said it is his relentless efforts that can help the GOP. "No one can outwork me. I am persistent. I think I can bring something to the party that can help us win elections,'' he said.

"Boston Strong" - Justice Weak.... CBS this morning a joke...

CBS this morning just spent the first 7 minutes of their program covering and describing the ceremonies covering the first year anniversary of the "Boston Bombing" incident. CBS was extensive on their coverage of the "Giant Hug" that Boston has received from across America but left out and did not mention anything about the legal case against the remaining bomber of this crime or why it has been over a year without a trial. In fact the start of the trial is set for upcoming November... Swift justice?

"The trial date — scheduled to begin less than 19 months after the April 15, 2013, bombings that killed three people and injured more than 260 — cannot come quickly enough for some victims."

“I think it should be sooner,” said Marc Fucarile, a bombing survivor from Stoneham who lost a leg and attended the hearing on crutches. “Everybody should be on the same page. It’s pretty cut and dry with the evidence. Don’t waste anybody’s time.”

CBS also failed to report anything about this terrorist attack which involved back to back bombs to inflict the most damage. The CBS crew is now talking about how they love the "Boston Strong" slogan but yet ignore the obvious terrorist attack...

BOSTON  -- The two brothers suspected of bombing the Boston Marathon appear to have been motivated by a radical brand of Islam but do not seem connected to any Muslim terrorist groups, U.S. officials said Monday after interrogating and charging Dzhokhar Tsarnaev with crimes that could bring the death penalty.

CBS this morning was then quick to follow up with their report on the recent shooting in Kansas involving a shooter that was\is a member of the Ku-Klux-Klan and how that shooting has been labeled and charged as a "Hate Crime". In fact CBS this morning was also sure to say that this shooter was a member of a "Right wing extreme group" but yet did not mention the Boston bomber or his ties to Islam in their opening story...

"Yesterday's attack ... strikes at the core fundamental freedoms ... of how our country was founded and what we live by every single day," said FBI agent Michael Kaste. "We've now determined that the motivation behind this was a hate crime. The acts that this person committed were the result of beliefs ... that he had."

Several reasons why Obama is pushing for a minimum wage increase.....

Just last week President Obama went to the University of Michigan to “press for a federal mandated higher minimum wage” while standing in front of students who will soon be looking for jobs after graduating. As usual our President is still in campaign mode instead of being in Washington dealing with the important and pressing issues including employment and wages.

Unfortunately and as usual, president Obama failed to be a “leader” and continued his campaign rhetoric "You've got a choice. You can give America the shaft, or you can give it a raise," … In fact the NPR audio clip I heard on the way in was when several students “booed” and Obama responded with No don’t boo, organize”. Maybe the students should be asking the president why they are facing minimum wage jobs after they graduate because of his economic policies?

Better example yet is: On their way to the campus, Obama and Peters stopped at Zingerman's Deli, an Ann Arbor landmark, where they ordered Reuben sandwiches and were served by a Michigan graduate who makes $9 an hour — a rate above the current federal minimum wage. "That's worth celebrating," Obama said.” Instead of “celebrating” this college graduate earning more than the minimum wage, the president should explain why there is no job for this graduate in his field… http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/obama-mich-senate-candidate-call-higher-wage-23154151

But maybe here is another reason why the President is campaigning on the minimum wage issue.Nationally, Obama wants to increase the hourly minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 as part of an election-year economic agenda focused on working families. The White House says that would benefit more than 970,000 workers in Michigan.” It turns out that many Union contracts are tied to the minimum wage index and with a raise nationally of the minimum wage many Union members, already making substantially more than minimum, will also get a raise.

Richard Berman writes in “Why Unions want a higher minimum wage”

The real reason is that some unions and their members directly benefit from minimum wage hikes- even when nary a union member actually makes the minimum wage”…

The data indicate that a number of unions in the service, retail and hospitality industries peg their base-line wages to the minimum wage”…

Other union contract stipulate that, following a minimum-wage increase, the union and the employer reopen wage talks”…

And here is another big factor to this whole issue:

“Labor unions spent an estimated $174 million on the 2012 election, with 91% of the money going to the Democrats, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Now many union members could see their paychecks grow as the result of a Democrat-backed mandate-even though the overwhelming majority of scholarly evidence says that these wage increases have a negative effect on employment”…

The truth is nobody wants to “under pay” or keep anybody from earning more money and higher wages. But by rewarding little or no skilled labor with inflated wages does not really help that person but keeps them from learning and obtaining the needed skills to make themselves more valuable in the workforce.

Unfortunately with this economy we have many “skilled” workers who lost their prior jobs and are now working in “lesser” jobs just to get by.
This is another reason why teen age unemployment is so high due to the fact that many lower wage jobs are going to higher skilled labor who have to take a “Step back” due to the economy. Others have been cut-back to part-time status by companies unsure how “Obama-Care” will affect them.

What we need is a “Leader” who encourages and supports policies that will grow the economy and put people back to work and producing instead of collecting a government check that replaces their incentive to find work. Instead we have a President still on the issue “campaign trail” celebrating a college graduate earning $9 an hour making sandwiches......

Terry-Mac's PAC fundraising Letter & his past history of "Fundraising"....

It seems there is a bit of dust-up with the news that Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe's political action group offered access to the Terry-Mac in exchange for donations. Of course the Governor now says that he was not aware of his PAC actions and did not approve it, but let's be real here, do you really think he would have turned away Big donors if it did happen?...

RICHMOND, Va. (WHSV) -- The fallout is continuing after fundraising letters sent from Governor Terry McAuliffe's political action committee offered access to the governor in exchange for donations.
Ethical issues like this have become a sensitive topic in the wake of the scandal involving former governor Bob McDonnell.
McAuliffe said he wasn't aware of the letters and that he didn't approve them.
Dr. Jim Josefson, a political science professor at Bridgewater College, said the letters were just too honest about what normally goes on in politics.
"It'd be nice if these sorts of things don't make people cynical, it should make them political. The fact that someone is out there buying your politics should make you want to claim it back rather than punt it to them," said Josefson.
McAuliffe said the letters likely came from "eager beavers" on his staff.

And this is not the first time that ole Terry-Mac has been linked to questionable fundraising tactics. Does anybody remember the "Clinton rental association of the White house Lincoln bedroom package"? And guess who was the organizer of that infamous package deal for access to the President?....

Bill Clinton's former fundraiser emerges as Virginia's next governor by just 55,000 votes in nail-biting race

  • Clinton's White House money man, Terry McAuliffe dreamed up a way to tap donors for more cash by offering them nights in the Lincoln Bedroom
  • His rise to the governor's mansion in Richmond will cement the Clintons' chances to turn Virginia 'blue' if – or when – Hillary runs in 2016
  • The Obamas and Clintons stumped for McAuliffe, helping him overwhelm state AG Ken Cuccinelli's reliance on Sen. Ted Cruz and other tea partiers
  • McAuliffe's campaign vastly outspent the GOP on broadcast ads, including many that cast Cuccinelli as anti-woman and anti-Hispanic
  • A third-party Libertarian candidate who ultimately split the GOP was funded by a top Obama campaign bundler, raising Republicans' cries of dirty pool

Many of these members were first on scene to the recent Mariner's Cove motel fire that happened on Friday and spent a full 13 hours active supporting this incident response. Saturday was spent at the incident scene covering and supporting the follow up investigation. Sunday was spent training at the Shrewsbury River as seen above... Great therapy ...

Governor Terry McAuliffe... Do we have a "Leader" or a "Campaigner"?...

All week I have heard several times on the radio a PAC commercial telling me that Virginia is missing $5 million a day that would come from "Washington" because we have not signed onto the "Medicaid Expansion" program. The heart wrenching audio, with usual piano solo in the background, tells us how if we don't sign onto this program some other State will take advantage of this money from "Washington". The same "Washington that is $17 TRILLION in debt already with no plan to cut spending or improve the economy but that's an old story they don't want you thinking about anyway...

As usual the PAC commercial does not bring up the question or provide a solution to what happens to the Virginia taxpayer once the "Washington" money runs out in a couple years. They also fail to talk about the abuse and fraud in the Medicaid program already which needs to be fixed, as favored by the GOP House, before we dump more taxmoney into this program....

At the same time where is our Governor?  Terry-Mac, instead of being a "Leader" in Richmond has been traveling the State playing campaign mode just like Obama has been doing for the past five years.

And why won't Terry-Mac separate the "Medicaid Expansion" from the Virginia State budget and allow the House to pass a working budget so Virginia workers and services continue without interruption? Because Terry-Mac knows that is his bargaining tool and if he gives that up he would have to debate the "Medicaid Expanion" on it's own merits and that would be a losing issue for him and government expansion....
