Senator Allen's visit to Weyers Cave Airport...

Weyers Cave, VA.

Senator George Allen flew into the Weyers Cave Airport today to meet with 160+ supporters who gathered to hear him speak on a cool, crisp, day in Virginia. With him he brought Senator Thune who was very interesting to listen to as well as an outstanding addition to the Republican Senate. Congressman Bob Goodlatte spoke for a short time and showed why we have two strong representatives of Virginia in Senator Allen and himself. Lt. Governor Bill Bolling did a great job at getting the crowd energized and proud to be from Virginia and Attorney General Bob McDonnell did the same. Delegates Matt Loher and Ben Cline were also in attendance and completed a strong showing of the Republican Party of Virginia...

The airport staff did a fine job of helping to make this a special event for all who attended.

Senator Thune gave a very good introduction of Senator Allen and I hope to be able to hear Senator Thune speak again some day. Senator Allen spoke of the importance of the war on terrorism as well as many important issues that involve all who live in Virginia and the United States. He spoke of the importance of developing our natural resources and the use of Bio-Diesel in the immediate farmland of our county. Senator Allen once again spoke of issues directly about Virginia and it's citizens. Something his Democratic challenger has failed to do on many occasions. He spoke of the numerous things he did as the States Governor as well as our Senator. I believe if the MainScream media would have presented these facts and asked the hard questions of the Democratic candidate this race would have been over a long time ago. Instead the media never really did there job, got easily sidetracked by the "Wing-nuts", and thus did a great dis-service to the citizens of Virginia...

Unfortunately the event had to be interrupted by a known Liberal Blogger who has history of making noise so as to attract attention to himself. Mike Stark has made a name for himself for being a "Vast-Left-Wing-Nut" and has shown his lack of integrity several times in the past. Last week he was removed from another Allen event after he pushed past several people attending the event and went directly towards the Senator. Stark stated that he was only attempting to ask the Senator a question but it is evident in the video that he "Shouldered" the person in front of him hard and had to be removed from that event.

Stark showed up at todays event with what appeared to be a "Chip on his shoulder" and conducted himself in a very arrogant manner. He pushed past me several times while I was listening to the Senator(s) and while I was taking photos of the event. As Senator Allen was finishing his speech Stark became loud yelling questions at the Senator as he was leaving. Many in the crowd began to chant "Six More Years" over and over. Stark then darted thru the crowd and I had to help a Mother move her two young children out of the way of Stark before they got hurt. Stark then ran into a woman attending the event and knocked her into a camera stand in the middle of the room. Stark then continued to push towards the Senator at which time he ran into another person knocking the man to the floor. This incident happened directly in front of a Sheriff's Deputy who was within 6-8 feet and who then took Stark into custody and removed him from the terminal.

Stark once again showed his arrogance when the Sheriff's Deputy had to put him into the patrol car...

The blogger "Spank That Donkey" was also in attendance and made the following report on the incident on his blog with additional photos of the incident...

Autumn for the Troops...

Churchville, VA.

A local elementary school heard of the “From Our Hearts” program and wanted to send something special to the troops so the first graders, with some help from their fifth grade “Buddies”, put together some notes for the troops. They also attached a leaf of their choice to their letters so that our Troops can remember for a moment the precious changing of the seasons back home…

A dear friend Rhonda Winfield spends her time visiting injured troops at the Veterans hospital and told me of a recent visit. I asked her to write of the visit and below is what she sent me.We will be doing one last shipment to the troops for the Holiday season.

More info will follow very soon so please check back often and help us to make this an outstanding “Holiday Shipment” to our Troops...

Please visit "From Our Hearts" at www.fromrhearts.blogspot.com for Rhonda's story and more info about this program...

"Did we forget to mention?"...

Staunton, VA.

Senator George Allen stopped by Mrs. Rowe's restaurant in Staunton to have breakfast with 110 to 120 local supporters on Friday while on his way to Harrisonburg.

It was an outstanding showing of support for the visit was just announced a day earlier and in fact the Staunton NewsLeader had just added it to their frontpage of the NewsLeader webpage the prior night.

Delegates Chris Saxman, Ben Cline, and Steve Landes joined the Senator who took the time to meet everyone in the two rooms provided for the breakfast. Senator Allen then visited with all of the other rooms in Mr. Rowe's and took the time to meet with and speak with many people. Senator Allen visited with all those in attendance, including the local media, for about 45 to 50 minutes before moving on to other scheduled visits...

I did find it interesting that the Staunton NewsLeader newspaper, who announced the visit on their webpage the night before and had their crack reporter David Royer in attendance, failed to even mention the Senators visit in their paper at all... Bob Stuart from the NewsVirginian was also in attendance and did a good description of the visit and the NewsVirginian even printed the story on their front page so it must have actually happened...

It is interesting to see that the NewsLeader would send a reporter to a visit by the State Senator but fail to mention it in their newspaper. Seem to recall that when Jim Webb came to Staunton a few weeks back the Newsleader had a front page photo and a good part of the front page taken up with a story about his visit. Also recall that the visit was a short one if memory serves me... Did you Hear about the visit to Harrisonburg by Jimmy and Mark Warner a few days back that lasted, reported, only about 5 minutes but yet the NewsLeader reported on it?...
