Obama's Class-Warfare....

Two very good examples to describe how things actually work as compared to the "Class-Warefare" that Obama is throwing around....

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for dinner and the bill for all comes to $100.If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing like they do now with the present income tax structure.

The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59 of the bill.
So that is what the ten men decide to do.

The ten men ate dinner in the restaurant every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. “Since you all are such good customers I am going to reduce the cost of your daily meal by $20”. Dinner for the 10 men now costs just $80...

The group still wanted to pay the bill the same way that they paid their taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still eat for free. But what about the other six men -- the Paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everybody would get his “Fair Share”?

They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth and sixth man would each end up being paid to eat their meal…So, the restaurant owner suggested it would be fair to reduce each mans bill roughly the same amount; and proceeded to work out the amounts each man would pay.

The fifth, like the first four now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth man now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% savings)
The seventh man now paid $5 instead of $7 (28% savings)
The eight man now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings)
The ninth man now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings)
The tenth man now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings)

Each of the six was better off then before. And the first four continued to eat for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings…

“I only got a dollar out of the $20,” declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man “but he got $10”…“Yeah, that’s right,” exclaimed the fifth man. “I only saved a dollar, too. Its unfair that he got ten times more than me!?”“That’s true”, shouted the seventh man. “Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!”“Wait a minute,” yelled the first four men in unison. “We didn’t get anything at all. The system exploit’s the poor!”The nine men surrounded the tenth man and beat him up…

The next night the Tenth man did not show up for dinner, so the Nine sat down and ate without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn’t have enough money between all of them for even half the bill!

And that Boys & Girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just might not show up anymore. In fact, they might start eating overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier…David R. And then there is this cute little cartoon (makes it easier for some of my Democrat friends to follow) which also shows what happens when you take away the incentive to better and improve your self.....

"Vitriolic Rhetoric" from the Right caused the shooting in Arizona?....

Larry Elder has an interesting piece on how the "Left" and the mainstream media claims of 'Vitriolic Rhetoric' as the reason for the Arizona shooting but forgets the "Left-Wing Vitriolic Rhetoric" from the past.....

Would the "vitriolic rhetoric" include former President Jimmy Carter's ugly assertion that "an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American"?

Would it include former Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean's description of the contest between Democrats and Republicans as "a struggle between good and evil -- and we're the good"?

Would it include Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's characterization of then-President George W. Bush as "a loser and a liar"?

Would it include Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow's denunciation of President Bush as "dangerously incompetent"?

Would it include the late Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy's assertion that the Bush administration fabricated a case for war in Iraq, or, as Kennedy put it, "week after week after week, we were told lie after lie after lie"?

Would the "vitriolic rhetoric" include Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel's referring to Bush as "our Bull Connor," the infamous Southern lawman who, in the 1960s, turned police dogs and water hoses on black civil rights protesters?

Would it include the declaration by Comedy Central's Jon Stewart -- a man astonishingly described as a modern Edward R. Murrow -- that former President Harry Truman was "a war criminal"?

Would it include then-presidential candidate Barack Obama's declaration made at a fundraiser that "if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun"?

Would it include Hillary Clinton's telling a black audience that the then-Republican majority Congress was "run like a plantation"?

Would it include the Rev. Al Sharpton, who, long before meeting with the FCC and demanding broadcasting decency standards, called the then mayor of New York a "nigger whore"?

Would it include then-Rep. Diane Watson, D-Calif., who attacked a black political opponent: "He's married to a white woman. He wants to be white. He wants a colorless society. He has no ethnic pride. He doesn't want to be black. I said that"?

Would it include the way then-President Bill Clinton, according to aide Dick Morris, described his 1996 Republican opponent: "Bob Dole is not a nice man. Bob Dole is evil. The things he wants to do to children are evil. The things he wants to do to poor people and old people and sick people are evil. Let's get that straight"?

Would it include the unhinged MSNBC host Ed Schultz, who, days before the Tucson shooting, said: "This is an ideological war. ... I will fight these bastards every night at 6 o'clock because I know what they're up against. I know what they want to do. They want to take down American workers. ... They want to destroy the American dream, concentrate the wealth to the top and control minorities"?

Jimmy Buffett... Stick with what you know, Music!...

Jimmy, do us all a favor and do what you do best... Music & singing....
.
Can't blame you much during the Obama campaign when you came out supporting the "Change" that Obama was promising, for many of you who have made it BIG in showbiz and the music industry have done that possibly out of guilt, but why do you still support this President after what you have seen in the last 18 months?...
.
In fact now you come out with this attack on President Bush regarding the oil spill in the gulf while disregarding Obama's inept actions and mis-direction...
.
"To me it was more about eight years of bad policy before (Obama) got there that let this happen. It was Dracula running the blood bank in terms of oil and leases," he said. "I think that has more to do with it than how the president reacted to it."
.
Dracula running the "blood bank"?
.
Was it not the Obama administration running the show for 17 months before this happened?
Is it o.k. to take credit for good things that happened during the previous administration but yet blame bad things on the prior President?
.
The next bad thing that happens will also be Bush's fault?
.
Why has not Obama suspend the Jones act and allowing foreign countries to use the skimmers and other equipment they offered days after the incident?
.
Is it the Labor Unions keeping Obama from suspending the Jones act?
.
How much oil and precious wetlands could have been recovered\protected if Obama had acted right away?
.
Thanks for doing the concert to help the people effected by the spill, but how much of the expenses will your taxguys write off from the show as a charitable donation?
.
You may not take any $$$ directly from the concert, t-shirts, Live CD's, posters, programs, but what will be the value of the "face time" and publicity that your "image" will gain?
or will that be considered as a "in-kind" donation towards Obama's next election fund?....
.
Your marketing guys have done you well and I am sure you will do well from this concert in the end as well. In fact you might be able to raise the price of the "Cheeseburger in Paradise" in Key West past the $10 it already is...
.You have done some great music (old stuff) in the past and please get back to doing some more but when doing your concert howbout ask some of the above questions regarding the current President?...
.
Six years I lived in Key West but never saw you down there but I was asked by many tourists where you were during that time... Another great function of your marketing guys....

The House floor and then the "Hawk n Dove"...

Had the great opportunity to go up to Washington D.C. today to watch our Congress at work during a very important and historical time in our governments history...
.
To be honest we sat for over an hour or so in the House chamber where the only order of business was for the Representatives to vote on a motion to suspend the rules to some issue we never did find out what it was about...
.
Turns out we watched 415 members of Congress come to the floor, most of them late responding to the call, suspend the rules, and with 20 of them never showing up to cast a vote or do the "People's business"...
.
We did have the opportunity to see Representative Bob Goodlatte (R) from the 6th district of Virginia working the House floor and numerous fellow Congress members on a unknown issue...
.

After leaving "The Hill" we made our way over to the "Hawk 'n' Dove", which many remember from an incident in 2006 with Representative Patrick Kennedy (D), and spent some quality time with many of the locals and workers discussing what was going on over on "The Hill"...
.
This was a great opportunity to sit and watch the people pass by, strike up a conversation, and discuss how the "Healthcare bill" being discussed(?) on "The Hill" and how it will effect us all...
.
Believe me when I tell you that there is NOT the support for the bill on the "street" as they think there is on the "Hill"...
.

While working our way to the House chamber we went through the new Capitol Visitor Center and the above "In God We Trust" was pointed out to us. The inclusion of our nations motto has been somewhat of an issue in the past....

"Liberty is too Precious a thing to be buried in books" For those going to Washington on September 12th...

Jimmy Stewart played the part of Senator Smith back in 1939 who discovers the corruption of a bill that will benefit the select few at the cost of many while diminishing the liberties of those they claim to represent...

.

"Men should hold them up in front of themselves every single day to say I am free to think and speak"...

After 200 days in office... The people are starting to see the truth...

Where is the ACLU?....

The Washington Times has an article reporting that the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights is demanding why the Obama Justice Department recently dismissed the charges against three Black Panther members who obstructed voters during the last election.

.

Its a good read but the real question is "Where is the ACLU" on this issue and clear use of voter intimidation in Philadelphia?...

"Cap & Trade" Who really won...

.

"When Gore left office in January 2001, he was said to have a net worth in the neighborhood of $2 million. A mere eight years later, estimates are that he is now worth about $100 million. It seems it's easy being green, at least for some."

So where is my lousy T-shirt?...

Governor Tim Kaine is skipping all over the United States as the Chairman of the Democratic Party while also claiming to be the Governor of Virginia at the same time.

.

Sounds like a good time for Timmy but where are our lousy T-shirts that you always get after somebody goes on a great vacation?

.

Timmy got the Frequent flier miles, we got the $300 million budget shortfall...

"Banned from taking a weapon to a polling place?"...

Take a minute and half to watch the above video of three individuals claiming to be "security" at a polling place in Philadelphia during the last presidential election. All three of these individuals were charged with VOTER INTIMIDATION by career Dept of Justice workers but those charges have now been dropped by the new political wing of the Dept headed by Attorney General Eric Holder who was appointed by Obama...

IBD reports that the charges were dropped and the individual with the nightstick in the above video cant bring his weapons to the polling places anymore!!!

"Two had their lawsuit dismissed with no penalty imposed, while the third man was banned from taking a weapon to a polling place in the future. Records indicate that the three men had refused to appear in court."

Voter Intimidation?...

.
During the last four election days at the Stuarts Draft polling place I have had the same older gentleman challenge the placement of campaign signs outside of the polling place entrance door. The first year he was very adamant about the placement of the signs and the "Republican" volunteers outside of the "No Campaigning" zone but did not question placement of the single "Democratic" volunteer or her signs. I took the opportunity to show this older gentleman the above sign positioned by the polling workers and that none of the campaign signs or volunteers were anywhere within this restricted zone...
It happens every election day since and I still instruct the older gentleman to read the sign...

Yesterday it was reported that the Voter Intimidation case regarding the incident that happened during the 2008 Presidential election in Philadelphia showing members of the Black Panthers outside of a polling place, one brandishing a night stick and "violated the 1965 Voting Rights Act by scaring would-be voters with the weapon, racial slurs and military-style uniforms" has now been dismissed.

"Justice Department political appointees overruled career lawyers and ended a civil complaint accusing three members of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense of wielding a nightstick and intimidating voters at a Philadelphia polling place last Election Day, according to documents and interviews."

The Washington Times ask a interesting question in: What if there were KU Klux Klan members and they stood outside of polling places in military uniforms, with nightsticks, confronting voters arriving to the polling place?...

"The flip side of this scenario is occurring right now. The culprits weren't Klansmen; they belonged to the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. One of the defendants, Jerry Jackson, is an elected member of Philadelphia's 14th Ward Democratic Committee and was a credentialed poll watcher for Barack Obama and the Democratic Party when the violations occurred. Rather conveniently, the Obama administration has asked that the cases against Mr. Jackson, two other defendants and the party be dropped."

Vice-President Dick Cheney....

Being the first vice president who had also served as secretary of defense, naturally my duties tended toward national security. I focused on those challenges day to day, mostly free from the usual political distractions. I had the advantage of being a vice president content with the responsibilities I had, and going about my work with no higher ambition. Today, I'm an even freer man. Your kind invitation brings me here as a private citizen - a career in politics behind me, no elections to win or lose, and no favor to seek.

Our administration always faced its share of criticism, and from some quarters it was always intense. That was especially so in the later years of our term, when the dangers were as serious as ever, but the sense of general alarm after September 11th, 2001 was a fading memory. Part of our responsibility, as we saw it, was not to forget the terrible harm that had been done to America ... and not to let 9/11 become the prelude to something much bigger and far worse.

That attack itself was, of course, the most devastating strike in a series of terrorist plots carried out against Americans at home and abroad. In 1993, terrorists bombed the World Trade Center, hoping to bring down the towers with a blast from below. The attacks continued in 1995, with the bombing of U.S. facilities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; the killing of servicemen at Khobar Towers in 1996; the attack on our embassies in East Africa in 1998; the murder of American sailors on the USS Cole in 2000; and then the hijackings of 9/11, and all the grief and loss we suffered on that day.

To make certain our nation country never again faced such a day of horror, we developed a comprehensive strategy, beginning with far greater homeland security to make the United States a harder target. But since wars cannot be won on the defensive, we moved decisively against the terrorists in their hideouts and sanctuaries, and committed to using every asset to take down their networks. We decided, as well, to confront the regimes that sponsored terrorists, and to go after those who provide sanctuary, funding, and weapons to enemies of the United States. We turned special attention to regimes that had the capacity to build weapons of mass destruction, and might transfer such weapons to terrorists.

It is a fact that only detainees of the highest intelligence value were ever subjected to enhanced interrogation. You've heard endlessly about waterboarding. It happened to three terrorists. One of them was Khalid Sheikh Muhammed - the mastermind of 9/11, who has also boasted about beheading Daniel Pearl.

Even before the interrogation program began, and throughout its operation, it was closely reviewed to ensure that every method used was in full compliance with the Constitution, statutes, and treaty obligations. On numerous occasions, leading members of Congress, including the current speaker of the House, were briefed on the program and on the methods.

To put things in perspective, suppose that on the evening of 9/11, President Bush and I had promised that for as long as we held office - which was to be another 2,689 days - there would never be another terrorist attack inside this country. Talk about hubris - it would have seemed a rash and irresponsible thing to say. People would have doubted that we even understood the enormity of what had just happened. Everyone had a very bad feeling about all of this, and felt certain that the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and Shanksville were only the beginning of the violence.

For all that we've lost in this conflict, the United States has never lost its moral bearings. And when the moral reckoning turns to the men known as high-value terrorists, I can assure you they were neither innocent nor victims. As for those who asked them questions and got answers: they did the right thing, they made our country safer, and a lot of Americans are alive today because of them.

Shad Planking 2009 ~Virginian's for Energy Independence~

. The 2009 "Planking of the Shad" event held in Wakefield, VA by the Wakefield Ruritan Club was once again a political season highlight for those of us involved in the political environment and campaigns. This being evident with the thousands of campaign signs on the route leading up to a small clearing in the woods where the Wakefield Ruritan Club has been hosting this event for 60+ years...

Numerous other then campaign booths were set up and attracted the attention and support from those walking the grounds. Virginia Citizens Defense League is a very impressive group working to protect citizens rights to defend themselves...

Campaign for Liberty group...

NRA association..

Virginia Energy Independence Alliance...

With this came the opportunity for our small group of Virginia buisnessmen and citizens to set up a display and information booth to encourage discussion regarding the numerous energy sources available here in Virginia. With no association or link to the Virginia Energy Independence Alliance (photo above) we had interesting conversations with this group and encourage all to visit their website...

Along with several visual displays we had numerous "info planks" with energy facts and sources for visitors to review and discuss. These planks provided information on the many energy sources that need to be implemented and reduce our dependence on foreign sources. Energy sources including: Windpower, Offshore Oil and Natural Gas, Solar, Tidal hydro electric, Coal, Cellulose, Nuclear, Hydro-electric, and several other forms brought up during discussions including Algae oil production...

As with any gathering of people involved in politics the conversations and debates can and will cover wide ranges of topics. This included the benefits and risks associated to each form of energy sources... With offshore drilling being a hot topic in the news and the campaigns, the debate of benefits and (environmental) costs was a frequent topic. We have a proven source of oil and natural gas off the shores of Virginia and with that many have concerns of environmental impacts but we also have a proven track record of this energy source...

IOWA floods: Where was "Hollywood"?...

.

Where are the Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for help in restoring Iowa and helping the folks affected by the floods? Where is good old Michael Moore?
(This is from a email that has been passed around and the statements ask a very important question and data seems accurate)...

Why is the media NOT asking the tough questions about why the federal government hasn't solved this problem?

......Asking where the FEMA trucks and trailers and food services are?

Why isn't the Federal government moving Iowa people into free hotels in Chicago and Minneapolis ?

When will Spike Lee say that the Federal government blew up the levees that failed in Des Moines ?

Where are Sean Penn, Bono, and the Dixie Chicks?

Where are all the looters stealing high-end tennis
shoes, cases of beer and television sets?

When will we hear Governor Chet Culver say that he wants to rebuild a 'vanilla' Iowa .. because that's what God wants?
Where is the hysterical 24/7 media coverage complete with reports of shootings at rescuers, of rapes and murder?

Where are all the people screaming that Barack Obama hates white, rural people? My God, where are Angelina Jolie and
Brad Pitt, Oprah, and Ray Coniff Jr?

How come you will never hear about the Iowa flooding ever again? Where are the governmentbail out vouchers? The government debit cards?

There must be one hell of a big difference between the
value of the people of Iowa and value of the the people
of Louisiana . Pass this unedited, un-doctored, factual
information forward ..... to get Americans thinking.
