"Try your Spin..."

Try Your Spin...

Every since President Bush was elected back in 2000 he has been blamed for every negative thing that has happen during his term(s). It has been amazing to watch the Democrats and Main Stream Media (MSM) "Spin" everything they can get their hands on and to blame it on the President and his "Corporation in pocket", the Evil Halliburton...

Here I am starting a forum to show the numerous, and sometime humerous, examples of this "Spin" used by the Dem's & MSM...

Remember?: * Hurricane Katrina. This was the result of President Bush not going along with
the Kyoto treaty. Since his term started the CO2 has
so much that Hurricanes are popping up everywhere and
the President, with the use of the weather machine owned
by the Evil Halliburton, steered Katrina into New Orleans since
many people there did not vote for him in the elections...

* Homeless. Since President Bush took office there are homeless people
everywhere. The soup lines are longer then ever and we are
near depression levels even with the unemployment rate is
at 5%...

* Gas Prices. Gasoline prices have never been $3 gallon until President
Bush needed to pay off his Energy corporate buddies who got
him into office...

There are numerous more examples of the "Spin" and if you have some examples please post them and I will be sure to add them to the list...

Try your "Spin": Take your own turn at the wheel and come up with your own "Spin" on a topic and see how you can blame it on the President. Unfortunately we just lost 12 miners in that accident in West Virginia. The investigation has started and it appears it was probably a gas explosion from a methane gas build up. It is just a matter of time before it becomes the President's fault and now is you chance to beat the Dem's & MSM to it... Post your "Spin" and I will be sure to add it to the list...

What will it take?...

Had an interesting conversation with a co-worker today who said she was against President Bush and the Republicans because they were playing "God" in Iraq. She agreed terrorism and terrorist were bad but how did we have the right to go in and take out Hussein and fight the terrorist over there. We were attacked here and have no business fighting and killing people in Iraq or the middle east. This is the first conversation of this type that I have had with this "Young" lady who has a good heart but little exposure to actual facts and only knows what she hears from the MSM (MainStream media)...

Today I saw this article on the Internet written by Thomas Sowell that pretty much sums it all up...

"We could deter the nuclear power of the Soviet Union with our own nuclear power. But you cannot deter suicidal terrorists. You can only kill them or stop them from getting what they need to kill you." Thomas Sowell

http://www.jewishworldreview.com/cols/sowell010306.asp

It is unfortunate but there are many out there that do not see, or want to see, the bigger picture. There have been many comments on how "It's not our war or our business" to be there. "This is costing too much". "This war can not be won".

The fall of communism and the Soviet Union would not have happened if President Reagan and many did not actively address it.

One BIG hole in the ground...

One BIG hole in the ground…
Since Hurricane Katrina there has been some discussion on the merits of building, and rebuilding, a city that sits in some places 13 feet under sea level. One of the first things you learn in construction, or in owning a boat, is that water will always seek it’s level…
As with every natural disaster that happened this past year the Democrats have made it a point to claim it was all President Bush’s fault. The response to the Tsunami was not fast enough or the correct amount. The response to hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and numerous others was not quick enough or correct amount.

Nationally syndicated columnist Mona Charen did a great article in the Washington Times the other week and I found some very interesting facts to pass along…

Regarding the claims that the President’s tax-cuts kept money from going to the levees around New Orleans: “Louisiana has actually received more money over the past five years for Army Corp of Engineers projects than any other state, about $1.9 billion. California, with a population sevenfold larger, received $1.4 billion.”

The poor were abandoned by the government: “But according to a careful examination of actual storm victims by the New York Times, most of those who stayed behind either owned their own cars or were offered rides by others and chose, for various reasons to remain”.

Regarding the rebuilding efforts: “ Louisiana lawmakers have demanded $250 billion in aid. Karl Zinsmeister estimates this is the equivalent of handing each Louisianan a check for $56,000. This is on top of whatever insurance reimbursements and charitable contributions hurricane victims receive.”

My Comments:
Why are we looking to rebuild the area’s in New Orleans that are so far in “The Hole” and will only flood again. The industrial structures and refineries came through the hurricane with minimal damage considering. We should only rebuild the vulnerable areas with industry that will meet the proper codes and can withstand the future storm we all know is coming. If people wish to rebuild their homes with those checks they are getting from the Federal government, Insurance companies, charitable organizations, etc, they should be required to meet strict construction codes and maintain proper insurance coverage. There are many areas along the coast and the Florida Keys that require the house to be built on columns, or stilts, to prevent flood damage…

ANWR... Let's Start Drilling !!! and why...

The issue of drilling in the Alaska Natural Wildlife Reserve has come to light again with the recent rise in energy prices. Back in August 2001 Jonah Goldberg did a great article in the National Review about what actually goes on in ANWR regarding oil drilling and the wildlife. I also refer to several newspaper articles here that appeared in USA Today and Investors Business Daily....

Just last week the House of Representatives approved a drilling project in ANWR by a vote of 308 to 106...
Unfortunately it was not able to get past the Senate due to the fillibuster that the Democrats have become so friendly with. We will talk about fillibusters that have to get more then 60% to break. Majority means nothing to these Senators and this must be addressed also...

What is ANWR actually like? The area that Environmentalist love to call "Pristine"

  • ANWR is actually 19.6 million acres, about the size of South Carolina...
  • The oil industry wants to dril in an area of only 2,000 acres, about the size of Dulles airport...
  • When Winter comes, there is no sunlight for 56 straight days...
  • During this dark period temperature averages 70 below zero, not counting the wind chill factor, or Global Warming...
  • During Summertime, locals warn of the mosquitos which are "The size of Bluejays"...
  • Many fear damage to the Caribou herd. Since drilling started in Prudhoe Bay, the Caribou herd has increased from 3,000 in 1977 to a current level of 23,000+...

What do the politicians say?

  • "I don't believe we can drill our way to energy independence" Sen. Diane Feinstein
  • Go to Barbara Boxer -D wbsite and you will find a link to fill out a petition to the executives of many of the major oil companies threatening a Boycoott of their companies if they drill in ANWR...
  • There is only a few years worth of oil there and it would not be worth drilling in ANWR...

What do the Scientist and Engineers say?

  • Since 1977, Prudhow Bay has produced 13 billion barrels of oil with an estimated 3 billion barrels left. (a moving target as oil recovery technology improves)
  • ANWR contains at least 5.6 billion barrels of oil and possibly 16 billion barrels accordingly to a 1988 U.S. Geological survey...
  • ANWR would supply enough oil for Florida for 29 years, or New York for 34 years, or California for 16 years, or New Hampshire for 315 years...
  • Out of the 19.6 million acres of ANWR only an area of 2,000 acres is being looked at for exploration. With new drilling technology a single well can drill numerous wells streatching in different directions from the same platform. "If the Washington monument were an absurdly tall directional oil well, it could extract oil from underneath Bethesda suburbs, Arlington National Cemetary, and the Capitol dome"...
  • In order to avoid roadwork on the precious tundra, the oil companies build immense ice roads that can bear massive stresses, but still melt harmlessly during the Summer when there is no drilling operation...
  • Presently the environmental requirements at Prudhoe Bay require any trash or man made items must be removed from the area. "If you spill your coffee on the ice you better go get a shovel"...
  • "I know a guy who got fired for throwing a rock at a fox". Apparently almost all of the foxes are rabid. "If you get bitten by a fox with inactive rabies you get those infamous shots. If you get bitten by a fos with active rabies, the company pays for your funeral".
  • Consider this:
Exxon-Mobil announced a $12 billion energy investment in Qatar, equivalent to about 360,000 barrels of oil per day. The next day, Shell announced a $5 billion deal with Qatar to convert natural gas to clean-burning diesel, at about 140,000 barrels of oil per day. That energy is equal to one-half of the energy we would get daily from ANWR.
In just two days, $17 billion in investments went overseas. This money should have been invested in the United States.
    Want American Jobs? Open ANWR.

America or Iraq?

Identify which country the election is being held in?

America or Iraq?

A higher percentage of registered voters are willing to stand in line with bombs and shootings going on…
Or
Historically there is a lower voter turnout if the weather is cold or raining…

One of the main political parties is against efforts to require all voters identify themselves with an official photo identification before being allowed to vote…
Or
Voters are required to dip a finger in purple ink that will prevent that same person from voting multiple times…

The American mainstream media states that the countries economy is failing, the election was rigged because their chosen one does not win, the war is not winnable, the war costs too much, and it’s all America’s fault…
Or
The American mainstream media states that the countries economy is failing, the election was rigged because their chosen one does not win, the war is not winnable, the war costs too much, and it’s all America’s fault…

Even with the threat of terrorist attacks and possibly being killed while voting, this country has a higher percentage of registered voters voting…
Or
Some in this country complain if there is a police car or Officers visible near the polling places thus “Disenfranchising” some voters…

This country ensures all that wish to vote have the opportunity to do so. They provided one day just for those in hospitals, soldiers, or those who are out of the country to vote…
Or
This country has a party that is famous for going to the graveyards in Chicago when more votes are needed or leave the polls open past official times to just get a couple more...

The American mainstream media continues to call this election not valid when their guy does not win, and no mandate even with a 3.5 million vote difference,
Or
The American mainstream media refuses to call this election a success if it benefit’s the guy that won the election by 3.5 million mentioned above in any way…

Obituary

Common Sense Died 24/7/365
In America’s Heart, USA

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend by the name of Common Sense who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such value lessons as knowing when to come out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and life isn’t always fair.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more then you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (Adults, not kids are in charge). His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.

Reports of a six year old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate, teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student only worsened his condition.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student; however they could not inform the parents when the student pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Finally, Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a bit in her lap, and was awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth & Trust, his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by two stepbrothers: My Rights and I am a Whiner.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

If you still know him pass this on, if not join the majority and do nothing…

Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Assassination?

The Washington Times reported on the college Professor from New Jersey who e-mailed his student and told her "Real freedom will come when soldiers in Iraq turn their guns on their superiors". The student had requested the Professor to announce that a Veteran of the Iraq war would be speaking at the college. The Professor also wrote and vowing to "expose her right-wing, anti-people politics until groups like this won't dare show their faces on a college campus." http://www.washtimes.com/national/inpolitics.htm

Since these statements, the professor has resigned just before the college held a meeting as to what to do with this guy and his statements. Also in the news this week there have been numerous stories on how military recruiters are being harrassed and kept out of high school and college campuses.

No matter what N.Y. Rep Charlie Rangel tells you, the facts show that a strong cross section of the recruits to the military shows a diverse assortment of social and economic status in those joining. The re-enlistment of those in the military is at a high level as so is the morale of the troops in Iraq & Afghanistan who are proud to be serving.

Before you start typing your reply:
  • Cindy Sheehan's son volunteered to join the military...
  • Cindy Sheehan's son re-enlisted in the military when he had the opportunity and choice...
  • Cindy Sheehan's son volunteered for the rescue mission that he was killed on...

Think maybe the professor will show up in the ditch with Cindy down in Texas?...

There it is...

And there it is...
When was the last time you saw a photo of the attacks that happened on September 11th, 2001?
With all of the talk about the accuracy of the intelligence after 911 and before going into Afghanistan and Iraq, when was the last time you saw this photo?

The media has determined that exposing the public to these photos and video footage would be detrimental to the public well being. It would only further the burden to the families who lost members in these attacks and delay the healing process.

Remember the fear, anger, and compassion after the attacks?
Remember how the country rallied together and the outpouring of donations to those in need? Remember how all of the members of Congress stood on the steps of the capitol building and sang "God Bless America"?

Remeber how the Democrats stood behind the President and his efforts to go after the terrorist and those who protected and gave aid to the terrorist?
Remember how many of them saw the same intelligence reports that the President saw and made just as strong statements for the removal of terrorist, their leaders, and specifically the removal of Saddam Hussein?

Do you believe the Democrats really supported the President out of loyalty to the country and it's citizens?
Do you think maybe they feared that if they were not seen taking a strong stance like the President against the terrorist, it would be political suicide for them?
Do you think they would be attacking the President and the war on terrorism if the citizens still had that "Fire and Sting" we all felt after the 911 attacks?

It has been 4 years since we were attacked and there are those who are becoming weak and un-certain of the war on terrorism.

Maybe we need to see and remember the pain that these photos bring from time to time.

"Oh yeah, I remember now..."

Reports are coming out now that Bob Woodward of the Washington Post now remembers having somebody high up in the administration telling him of the CIA Super-Secret, (Known to everybody on her block) Valerie Plame a long time ago. Interesting on how he all of a sudden remembered this just after Fitzgerald only brought indictment against the little guy in the administration. These guys will do whatever they can to try to bring the Bush administration down at any opportunity.

Hey, did the Democrats find that magical mystery lost ballot box with 5,000 votes not yet counted for Deed's yet? Just a matter of time before they bring that one out!!!

"Exposing Liberal Hypocrisy"

Peter Schweizer had a great article in NewsMax this month http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2005/11/9/205510.shtml?PROMO_CODE=16E5-1 where he exposes the hypocrisy of Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif
and some of her buddies out there. This link goes into part of it but here are some more
items that are in the printed NewsMax that are not on the website article.

Senator John Kerry

Says: The "Super-Rich" are not paying their fair share of taxes:
Does: Pays less then 15% of income in taxes, although along with his wife he is worth in excess of $700 million

Al Franken

Says: Conservatives are racist because they lack diversity and oppose affirmative action.
Does: Has hired less than 1% African American employees over the past 15 years....

Barbra Streisand

Says: Americans need to cut back on their conspicuous consumption and to protect the environment.
Does: Spends $22,000 a year to water her lawn; maintains a 12,000 ft2 air conditioned barn...

Hillary Clinton

Says: 13 year old girls are capable of deciding to have abortions without parental consent.
Does: Prevented Chelsea, then 13, from getting her ears pierced because she "wasn't ready for them"...
