"Drain the Whole Swamp"?...

.

“Democratic” Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi made it her motto and desire to “Drain the Swamp of corruption” once her party took control of Congress.

It turns out now that maybe she did not mean her “Little corner of the swamp” and maybe her ambitions did not include her and some of her “Democratic Party” playmates… And this just weeks after it was discovered that a large corporation, that is headquartered in Pelosi's district of San Fransicko, is exempt of the minimum wage increase that the Democrats have promised to their voters.

The USAToday paper has an article about Pelosi and “Democratic” friends have failed to report their non-profit leadership positions in charities as required by law. http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2007-01-28-pelosi_x.htm

It seems the Democratic Speaker of the House has failed to report her leadership position in a charity since 1992, fourteen years running…
“The oldest and most prominent of the three is the Paul and Nancy Pelosi Charitable Foundation. Created in 1992, the non-profit has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars in recent years. The charity reported having about $576,000 on hand at the end of 2005 after donating $316,000 to other charities that year.”

Another interesting factor is that these people in leadership roles are able to direct donations towards people and organizations that may have helped them in their election campaigns. “Democratic” Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana is in a leadership role with a charity where “Nearly all of the foundation's funding came from money left over from Bayh's gubernatorial campaigns. Bayh served two terms as Indiana governor, leaving office in 1997.”

Now what does it say about “Leaders” who state that they will “Drain the Swamp of Corruption” but yet direct leftover campaign contributions to the “Charity’s” of their choice?

What if your donation goes to a charity as a “Thank You” for support received during the election campaign that you do not agree with?

More swamp land to drain?…

Speaking of "interesting" Pelosi stuff, just today, as reported by the Washington Times, a group of protestors spray-painted graffiti slogans on the sidewalk near the Capitol. Complaints where issued when it was realized that the protesters who painted the anarchist symbols and slogans on the Capitol sidewalk did so RIGHT IN FRONT of Capitol Police officers. The graffiti included the phrases "all cops are pigs" and "you can't stop us." NOTHING WAS DONE. And why???

"The word going around is that [the order] came from Pelosi's office," an officer told The Washington Times. "The order was not to interfere with the protesters."

Hmmmm....

Perhaps Pelosi and gang should go out there and undo what those filthy hippies did in the first place. Now, if this is true about Pelosi giving that order, perhaps her office should be handed the cleaning bill.

While I am not against legal protest and the practice of freedom of speech and expression, it comes to a grinding halt when the fifth column (liberals in general) start to damage property.

Hippies flat-out stink. Dissent, in this case, is not patriotic at all. It is sheer sedition. Arrest, convict, evict, banish.
