The Augusta County Fair is up and running and I took a quick walk around to see the set up and agenda for the next two days. Tractor Pull will be Friday night and weather looks good for that...
Inside the main building I found the Augusta County Republican booth with Delegate Chris Saxman and Supervisor Candidate Jeremy Shifflett who is running for the Beverley Manor seat. Had time to talk with Delegate Saxman about the Transportation "Abuser-fee" issue and told him that I support holding dangerous and reckless drivers responsible for their actions and if hitting them in the pocketbook is what it takes lets do it... Also had sometime to speak with Jeremy and I find him to be a hardworking individual who knows Augusta County well for he has lived her for sometime and is invested in the County and District he wishes to represent...

Glad to see a Republican presence at our fairs...did you know that Chad, Emmet's son, is a very talented songwriter/musician?
I had heard something to that effect back during the Primary but never met the man. Heard rumours of Emmett being at the fair but no solid confirmation. I did get to see Saxman and Shifflett and I understand Cline was there earlier. First night many of the elected Republicans like the Sheriff Randy Fisher, Treasurer Richard Homes, Comm of Rev Shrewsbury, and several Republican Supervisors have been working the booth meeting and greeting with the strong GOP Conservative people who make up Augusta County. This is a very valuable environment for elected officials to meet and talk with their constituents.
Like I said. No solid commitment from the Hanger camp on attending the fair....
