No doubt...
Obama will have to "pay that bill" to the media as soon as he takes the Oval office...
And they will collect...

He said "this new presidency," and not "this president." Do you think that perhaps, he meant the office of the presidency?

But then I would probably have to believe that Matthews supported the "Office of the Presidency" during the Bush administration and did it in the odd way of multiple attacks on George W. Bush...

I would also have to consider why MSNBC removed both Matthews and Keith Olberman for extreme bias as reported...

I would also have to consider the current definition of "Journalist" as a person who shows no bias towards any one party, group, and thus only seeks out facts to report to the public...

And then there is the consideration of my "gut" feeling regarding what I have seen come out from Matthews and MSNBC over the years and this recent campaign...

How long before that "tingling up his leg" turns into something running "down his leg"?

Going to the link, it is clear from the statement that Matthews intends to be a cheerleader for Obama. It is ironic that we have heard over and over for many years about the need for jornalists to be "objective" but that suddenly changes when the party in power changes.

I strongly hope that my personal view of the man are wrong and Obama turns out to be a highly successful President. It would be good for the USA. That said I have not given up my right as an American to disagree with the administration if they do something I do not agree with. Time will tell how the new administration works out.
