Each month I receive my NRA magazine and if you have never read an issue you will find that there is a page dedicated to news reports of private citizens using their legal weapons to defend themselves and others in the course of their lives...
.
This months issue has an story about an incident that happened in Richmond VA back in July that was reported by the Richmond Times but it appears my local news services decided not to report. The RTD reports that a armed criminal came into a grocery store to rob and found eight customers that he quickly rounded up. The criminal then shot the store owner twice before a private citizen with a concealed weapons permit, who probably thought the criminal would shoot more of them, produced his handgun and told the criminal to drop his weapon.
.
The criminal refused and the Concealed Weapons permit holder fired once and hit the criminal. He then subdued the criminal, took possession of his weapon and waited for arrival of the police. Several of the others in the group encouraged the permit holder to shoot the criminal again but the permit holder refused...
.
Many out there feel that private citizens should not be able to own or carry legal and valid weapons in their defense and the defense of those around them. The above criminal already shot one defenseless person and would probably continue more. Not reported but chances are that the criminal possessed his weapon illegally and without valid permit. He in fact used the weapon in a crime and more anti-gun laws would also be ignored by this and other criminals. These laws only prevent law abiding citizens from being able to defend themselves...
.
Many on the "Left" call examples like this "fear mongering" when reported. It is a useful method so that they and their candidates can ignore the 2nd amendment issue and acknowledge CRIMINALS DO NOT OBEY THE LAWS and more strict laws will also be ignored...
.
Let's say you are grocer #4 in the above scenario. You would ask the citizen with the valid concealed weapons permit and weapon:
.
1. "Thanks, but I will stand over here while you shoot that thing"...
.
2. "As I read it, the 2nd amendment does not give you a right to own that thing, you are the problem here"...
.
3. "Excuse me, can I borrow that for a moment"...
.
4. "Let's negotiate, Let's talk with the robber, maybe he is just having a bad day"...
.
5. "Will that 45 be rather loud"...
Check here to see how your Virginia State Candidates rate as far as protecting your 2nd amendment right to defend yourself...

Yeah McDonnell, perhaps he will finally have someone investigate Loving Arms in FR. Seems that they are doing some "strange" things over their with construction and refunds.
