That's hilarious. It's hard to imagine in this day & age there are still people who think in the anachronistic terms of Joe Friday. & last I checked, USA was not 400 years old. It is a work in progress by great people over the last 240 years, not a divinely handed-down perfection.

That piece is a little corny, yes, but certainly not "anachronistic." What is so sad about "this day & age" is that so few people have enough historical understanding to appreciate how fortunate Americans are. As for "400," I'm pretty sure Mr. Webb was referring to the period of colonization and rounded off to the nearest century mark. The theme of that clip was that we should work to improve the country, not to pretend that it is perfect. Pay attention and ease up on the derision, please.

Very good but what direction do you see Obama leading us? Do you see a man with somewhat limited experience attempting to have "His" congress, by majority, cram through as much as possible in such a short time before he possibly looses the majority? Where is the transperancy that he promised with the bills being written in the closed rooms not allowing the "other" party? Posting all legislation 72 hours minimum? Nebraska, Louisiana $100 million deals for their Senators votes?
