Door to Door with Augusta County Republican Candidate Jeremy Shifflett...

Had the opportunity to do some good old fashion door to door campaigning with Augusta County Beverley Manor District Supervisor Jeremy Shifflett who is campaigning for his second term on the Board of Supervisors. I volunteered for Jeremy when he first stepped up to the plate and ran for Supervisor four years ago. It's now that much better now that he has a proven track record of representing Beverley Manor district and it shows when he goes door to door resulting in residents seeking him out in the neighborhood to show their support...
It was good to get back to the basic form of campaigning by getting out there and meeting with the people who will decide the direction of their district on election day Tuesday November 8th. Jeremy was kept busy talking with his constituents as we worked our way down the streets and this gave him the opportunity to talk with the people regarding the past four years as well as some of the "questionable" claims made by his opponent. There is great value for the citizen to be able to meet face to face with their Supervisor to discuss issues that effect them and their families. Many appreciate the opportunity to confront and ask questions about claims being made in the local press and several commented on the negative visits by opposing candidates across the county...
.
Documentation of what a candidate has done in the past is a valuable tool for the voter to utilize when making a decision on election day as well as different media formats to dispel false claims that are out there. Simple and honest practices are expected and appreciated by the voters when it comes to identifying the candidates and what they stand for. I have always liked it when a Candidate identifies himself and the party he supports right on their campaign signs such as "Jeremy Shifflett *Republican for Supervisor* Beverley Manor District...

And yes, there is a car wash in Verona!...

Great day for walking and we got numerous neighborhoods up here also. Tight race and many signs everywhere you look but because of the race it is you will see NO SIGNS stolen here!

No doubt...
Don't think there would be much future in getting caught stealing a campaign for Sheriff sign !!!

We are still knocked over as we watch you guys to the south continue to have to deal with the "Michael machine". The campaigns are going well here and strong response from the door to door and phonebanking.
Now if we can get George Allen back into the Senate so the Valley has a voice there once again we will be on the road to recovery.

Good luck Tuesday 8th

Any indication that the Newsleader will revisit the committee attendance issue and reveal the rest of the story or will their article from Karaffa a few weeks ago stand without scrutiny or journalistic research?

Not as of yet. Traffic to the post and series of post on the Supervisor race has been strong and sure that NewsLeader will come out with another Gang O Four story before the election. They seem to like the attention it gets....
The comment sections have picked up also and I am sure that helps their egos and traffic to the news site....

It gets more interesting. Jim Bailey came out against Shifflett yesterday. Is Bailey still a Republican? Does the local committee have any prohibition against members actively supporting candidates running against the party? I know this very thing has been an issue elsewhere in the state with some of the highest elected GOPers in the land booted from their local committees.

Its all very strange when you remember that Jim Bailey was the one who bungled his job as temp chair so bad that it gave Kurt Michael the opening he needed to create chaos in 08. Now Bailey supports the candidate who most assuredly will be led and mentored by Michael!!! Maybe Mr Bailey should not speak so much. Everytime he does, it creates confusion and distrust.

I also found that interesting and somewhat odd but I have also seen how the M&M crowd is very good at manipulation especially if they control the "Information & Communication". With Kurt as Chairman & Lynn as communications chairperson they were able to control many including myself. But with that it only took a matter of time before people undrstood what they were doing to people and the party...

The surprising part is how bad Kurt treated Bailey during the Mass meeting and refused to work with or turn over the agenda once Kurt was not picked as temporary chair of the meeting...

The mass meeting agenda was developed and passed by the Augusta County Republican Committee and was the property of the party. Kurt and M&M refused to turn over the agenda and took many opportunites to disrupt and interfere with the meeting. Just another showing of Kurt's control mentality and agenda..

They obviously have fed Bailey a line and it shows...

Kurt had No intrest is that mass meeting running smoothly once he lost control of the committee. After that he only wanted to destroy the party and anybody that he thought was the enemy. Like you!
