Fireworks or Explosion?....

Had hoped to finish this site (Operation Drumbeat) a bit more before posting but the antics continue at the Augusta County Board of Supervisor meetings...

It continues and just waiting for the "Gang of Three" to say Jeremy needs to step aside now so Karaffa and the gang can start now. Just like Obama wanted Bush to step aside......

Have the excuses already started? Mr. Karaffa told the Newsleader that he did not need as much "prep" since he has been regularly attending BOS meetings. Setting aside that contention(presumptuous as it is by itself), is he laying the groundwork for excusing himself due to his schedule at Augusta Health? We already know as was pointed out that Mr. Karaffa asked for BOS meetings to be videotaped because he couldn't always attend, due to work conflicts. Is this a preview of things to come, with Karaffa brushing off attendance because he attended some meetings in the past? Maybe he can have the SWACster sit in for him..... LOL

I saw that and it does seem like it may be a wake up call for both he and the people who voted him into office..

Statements like that might be the ones to come back to bite you...

Asking for meetings to be videotaped might be a useful tool but won't the BevManor residents notice the empty chair at the BOS meetings?

I would love to seethe meetings videotaped so the citizens can catch up on the actions of their Supervisors....

This next board is going to be a hoot and a half. Now Mr. Karaffa is worried about how much seating there will be for his extended family for his coronation to the Board. Perhaps the county can even spring for tickets for all the cousins in the Old Country as well! Maybe if the citizens of the county are lucky, there may be a few seats left for them, supposedly- Mr Karaffa cares about them. If all else fails, maybe they can set up a camera to run a closed loop feed to the Gang's Victory Lair down at Rack Em Smack Em

Ok I kid- I have ancestors from the "OC" as well- I just got that image when I saw the quote. What a strange thing to worry about and to say so that the Newsleader would make that its quote from him. I would make sure my immediate family was there and tell anyone else interested in attending to make sure they arrived early. Maybe his mentor Pyles can give him a few pointers on how not to make gaffes. To think- they accused Shifflett of having a tin ear and saying goofy things!

Oh what we have to look forward to.......

Will there be enough seats for the family reunion and can we have balloon rides in the parking lot?...

To show the importance of this whole thing to the NewsLeader the writer ended with "Business cards are in the works".....

Maybe Daddy WarPyles can make sure all the little orphan Supervisors can have all the goodies they want. Be careful though- in the comic strip Daddy WarPyles had a penchant for raiding the PiggyBank.

Business Cards eh? I guess that line item won't be up for review......... Maybe they should pay for their own or reimburse the county or do without?? I think everyone knows how to reach them.

I usually call a XMas truce after the 15th so I wanted to say a couple more things and then be done with it for the year...

The SWACster's attempted character assassination of Bill Shirley is SHAMEFUL. Bill is a good man with many years of service to kids in the county and the city. Does the SWACster really want to compare reputations with Shirley? Its sad. Do George Allen and others know the damage the SWACster has caused locally when they rub elbows with this troublemaker? They better be careful lest the same fate befall them that the SWACster's wrath has carried out against the local GOP when things don't go the Gangs way. If as you say and I've heard rumblings of from others, this may not be over yet, that there remain some tools left to possibly deal with this unfortunate situation where some individuals puff themselves up in Richmond while actively working against the GOP locally.

Bill is a good man and I believe that is why so many came out during the last Augusta GOP election to re-elect him as chairman once again. It also makes him effective when it comes to local stuff and that is why the committee is that much stronger. He is a true leader that knows how to lead and get things done. He is also one not interested in getting the credit or the "Power" that the prior Swac-Gov so craved...
Spoke to few from the Richmond crowd already and hope to meet up with some over the holidays. They are interested in what goes on here and still willing to listen to the facts coming out of the Valley as compared to the SWAC newsletter...
With hope it will be a quiet Holiday season, enjoy all and see you next meeting !!!
