Staff Sergeant First Class John C. Beale

Killed in action the week before, the body of Staff Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, on June 11, 2009. The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia. A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time."

"Nowadays one can be led to believe that America no longer respects honor and no longer honors sacrifice outside the military. Be it known that there are many places in this land where people still recognize the courage and impact of total self-sacrifice. Georgia remains one of those graceful places. But only watch this if you wish to have some of your faith in people restored. Please share widely.

I was sad to see about his passing, and choked up in viewing all the Patriotism and people who took the time to stop and pay respect to a Hero.

Why doesn't the press ever show us the important new items in our country? When did the press become about selling ratings? I wish none ever had to die in war but that is an ignorant statement only the vigilance and determination and blood and sweat will our nation remain free I hope my children will learn that freedom isn't free it was paid for with blood. God bless him and may he and his family find peace. May we as Americans become students of history so it doesn't have to repeat itself.

That's the way it should be everytime a hero returns, if only everyone, everywhere did the same as these Georgia residents did. Sad to say that some areas of the country would probably get bogged down in red tape over who is going to pay the overtime, how are the roads going to be blocked etc, etc... Just get out there and show your respects, put politics and budgets aside. Close the roads, pay the OT, they deserve it!!
