Marketing, Marketing, Marketing...

Learned back in college that marketing is a very important function of both society and the business world... If at times things do not seem to be going right or selling you may just need to "Market" it in a different way... Now lets say you have a wet piece of property you wanted to sell. It would be called a "Swamp"...
Now if a environmental group wanted to keep you from building on that same piece of land it would be classified as "Wetlands"...
For many years the working stiffs out there have been drinking Coffee everyday...
But to market this same drink to the student at a higher learning campus it should be called a "Latte"

Now starting out those "Dixie Chicks" sang Country songs and did pretty well with the "Common Folk" out there...
Then it seems they decided they needed to grow and evolve into more "Popular" songs and political issues. This resulted in numerous show dates in their present concert tour being dropped due to poor ticket sales across the "America Tour"...
And then there "was" the potential Dixie Chick "World Tour"...
And for the longest time we have had the party from the Right, "Conservatives", and the party from the Left, "Liberals"... Even the Left has marketed themselves, now they call themselves:

PROGRESSIVES !!!

"Lets put it to a vote"...

Vote Record

The House of Representatives rejected a proposed timetable for pulling the troops out of Iraq by a vote of 256-153...

The Senate also turned down a proposal by Democrat John Kerry calling for withdraw all combat troops from Iraq bu 1 July 2007... The vote there was
86-13...

Some of the statements made by our elected Representatives:

"Stay the course, I don't think so Mr. President. It's time to face the facts," House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California stated. "The war in Iraq has been a mistake. I say, a grotesque mistake."

"The choice for the American people is clear; don't run in the face of danger, victory will be our exit strategy," Rep. Mike Conaway, R-Texas

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., predicted that terrorism would spread around the world, and eventually reach the United States if the United States were to "cut and run" before Iraq can defend itself.

"We must give them that support and not send a signal that we're going to pull possibly the rug out from under them," Sen. John Warner, R-Va.,

Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., said: "It is time to tell the Iraqis that we have done what we can do militarily."

"Now about that Voter Fraud"...

Voter Fraud

During the comment period of the “Busby” post it was brought up that RightsideVA was attacking the Democrats on the “voter fraud” topic. Of course not all Voter Fraud is done by just one party but it is interesting to look at the history of this topic and to note who is responsible for the majority of this practice and incidents…

Went to the RightsideVA library and found the book “Stealing Elections. How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy” by John Fund for some information on this topic…

* The Military Vote: “The problem is that most states are still conducting absentee voting essentially as they did in World War 2, depending on snail mail to deliver the vote”. It can take weeks for the military person to request a absentee ballot, receive it, use it, and send it back to the states to be counted. And as in the 2000 election there can be problems with dates and postmarks when the military mail service is used. Remember Democrat Al Gore’s lawyers in the 2000 election when they aggressively looked to disqualify the military vote. The Washington Post commented: “Absentee ballots from service members overseas need to be treated with the utmost care and subjected to ballot-counting criteria that are, at a minimum, no more stringent then those applied to regular ballots”…

* Photo Identification: A Rasmussen Research poll finds that 82% of Americans, including 75% of Democrats, believe that “people should be required to show some form of photo ID before they are allowed to vote. But yet Maria Cardona, spokeswoman for the Democratic National Committee claims that “ballot security and preventing voter fraud are just code words for voter intimidation and suppression”. Why so much opposition to requiring photo identification by political party?

* Motor Voter Law: Motor voter law was the first legislation signed by President Clinton. This allowed anybody renewing a drivers license, applying for unemployment, welfare, etc to register to vote without having to produce identification or proof of citizenship. Also states had to permit mail in registration which is very easy to forge. In Broward county Florida an eight year old girl successfully registered to vote. A elephant in the San Diego zoo was also successful in registering to vote. In Missouri the secretary of state found that 56,000+ St. Louis voters held multiple voter registrations…

* Pay for Vote: “The NBC affiliate in Milwaukee filmed Democratic campaign workers handing out food and small sums of money to residents at a home for the mentally ill in Kenosha, after which the patients were shepherded into a separate room and given absentee ballots. One of the Democratic operatives fled when she saw the NBC camera”. On Indian reservations Maka Duta was paid more then $13,000 in voter registration “bounties” by the Democratic party before county auditors discovered that she had turned in hundreds of illegal registrations. Maka Duta was linked to as many as 1,750+ questionable absentee ballot applications.
During the 1996 skin-tight election of Democrat Mary Landreieu of Louisiana the election was tainted by thousands of phantom votes including 1,380 people registered at abandoned buildings…

Imagine if we had an accurate and true vote total of all properly registered and identified voters during the next election in 2006? I believe it would not even be close and this is why there is so much opposition to proposed laws requiring photo identification and the likes…

"Rightside" of the fence...

RightsideVA

In a recent post it was stated that this blog was in the habit of “Smearing” the Democrats whenever possible and always looking to attack them at every opportunity. It is the intention of this blog to present facts and topics that are current and provide the facts that many Mainstream Media sources tend to leave out… Does this blog lean to the Right? Yup… But it also allows discussions and comments to be posted as long as they do not offend or attack another writer… If you are looking for that there are many on the other side of the fence that will be happy to see you…

"Don't need no stinkin papers to vote"....

Busby

Investor Business Daily had another great article on the comments by Liberal Democrat Francine Busby who told a group at a rally in San Diego “Yeah, you don’t need papers for voting, you don’t need to be a registered voter to help”.

She is now backtracking on her comments and is being allowed to do this by the mainstream media at the same time. Reports are that she meant that even if you are not registered you can still help with the campaign but many feel she meant what she said about not needing papers to vote…

This is nothing new with elections and efforts to correct this problem has met numerous hurdles by the Democrats. This is the party that is against having every voter present a valid photo identification before being allowed to vote. Photo Identification must be presented to do many common tasks done by everybody each day.

Back in 1995 President Clinton pushed thru a program that naturalized 1.2 million people without the usual scrutiny and background checks just in time for the 1996 elections.
Then there was the 1993 Motor voter law that allows anybody with a drivers license to register to vote. It is interesting that 14 states don’t require the person to prove citizenship to get a license and 17 states don’t require any identification to vote! Now get this. During the 2000 election Scripps Howard study found that 190 counties and the entire state of Maine had more voters than adults…..?

Is it only the Democrat party that benefits from these screwy laws? Probably not, but it is the Democrat party that fights tighter control on valid voter registration at every opportunity….

From the Sand-Box 2

Sgt. Herb Harman

Thanks and a couple things from … “The Man in the Sand”

24 May 2006
Wed 1336hrs.

Hi from Baghdad,
Adjusting to yet another schedule and mission change. Should be getting accustomed by now but you never get used to it!

Thanks again for all you guys are doing back home for always backing us up. I’m sure by now we need it. Public opinion like it’s attention span is in need of constant reminders, just why terrorists are what they are. And of course what they would do to innocent civilians given the smallest opportunity.

As I stated I’m on a “New” mission, temporarily of course. I’ve been speaking and understanding a little more Arabic each day. The “Guys” I work with now all have many personal experiences with the old regime, the Bathists- AKA Saddams Govt. Although their beliefs and customs are markedly different from our home grown wisdom & philosophy , horror & terror are still the same ugly creatures of evil…

Spending a great deal of time with and getting to know the real Iraqis. One man told me of having 4 infants “Disposed of”, killed by Hussein Henchmen. Another had 2. Yes, some of these men have more than one wife, their culture is not our own but their emotion is real telling me of lost babies in Heaven now. Also one young mans Mother & Father- murdered in front of him for disloyalty to Saddams party. He, then escaping to relatives and joining the army to survive. Yet another- 2 others actually showed me their personal scars at the hands of professional torturers trying to change their opinions of Govt policies. One’s head has a long scar across his forehead from a “Metal-object”. Another’s back still remembers the pain inflicted by twisted minds and cruel beatings.

These good men are those from where I presently work. On previous sites I was at I may have mentioned the Kurdish militia Captain whose Brother was fed to Lions- Yes in coliseum style like in old Roman history. A Peshmerga militia Colonels family buried under their own home by tanks. Soviet tanks of Saddams army. And not by accident or consequence of battle, but deliberate intent to destroy a family neatly, efficiently and w\out protest…

Many other stories abound with each new day here on duty and with each new face I am fortunate to meet. I am blessed to have been born and raised in our lovely America. America is a great nation but has the attention span of a toddler lately…

Maybe if some heard of these tales they might realize how important it is to keep terrorism on it’s own turf. To fight them here is horror enough. But imagine some of the things mentioned in our own homes- our own schools & churches…

Maybe, but then again America hasn’t experienced anything like this for nearly 150 years. And with the attention span of a 2 year old. Well there it is then…

The good news? Stuff like this doesn’t happen at all… over here now…
Maybe it wasn’t such a bad idea after all…

Your friend in Baghdad,
Herb
